Equality Impact Assessment Toolkits help you to analyse and see the impact/effect your policies , strategies and services have on different groups within the community.  They can help you avoid or minimise any discrimination or negative effects. The Reaching Out: Linking In Project will be developing Equalities Impact Assessment Toolkits. When they are developed they will be on this page.

Directory for Older People  B&NES Council has published a new edition of its Directory of Services for Older People. The directory is aimed at people approaching retirement or already retired, as well as those who care for older and more vulnerable members of society. The new edition has been updated and includes more information including details about health support groups, transport services, community safety, leisure groups, equipment for disabled people and more. Copies are available at various locations including libraries, Council Connect offices, Age Concern's Bath office in Kingsmead Square and many doctors surgeries. New Bus Stop Leaflet For Bath. A new leaflet showing the new Bath city centre bus stops has been published by Bath and North East Somerset Council in partnership with transport operator First Somerset and Avon. The leaflet can be found on the Council’s website – www.bathnes.gov.uk  – under the ‘Of Interest’ section where a clickable link entitled ‘New Bus Stops in Bath’ is now available.

Equalities Monitoring Guidance - this guidance from Bath & North East Somerset Council's Corporate Equalities Team gives recommended guidelines for monitoring in both employment and service delivery. Includes information on why we need to monitor, what to monitor, setting targets, how to set up, analyse and report on results of monitoring and summarises relative legislation and policies. Friendly Resources - accessible information for people with learning disabilities. Run by and for people with learning disabilities, they have a large catalogue of DVDs and other accessible resources available to buy. You can also find information about Health, Parenting and Forums for people with learning disabilities, their carers and professionals.

Promote Performance - Voice4Change England and Charity Evaluation Services have launched a campaign to encourage BME third sector organisations to evidence the value and benefits of their work. The campaign targets BME third sector organisations that want to improve what they are doing but may not be familiar with performance jargon. (March 2010).  The website holds a number of resources and 'provides basic information on different methods of improving an organisation’s performance but is supplemented by scenarios relevant to a range of BME third sector organisations, variously skilled at performance management.'
